Due to the recent humanitarian aids withdrawing their support at the camp because of funding challenges, there has been extreme food shortages in Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kaloboyei Settlement. Categorisation of refugees was introduced. Families falling under category 1 and 2 will receive little food while those falling under category 3 and 4 are forced to starve with little or no food.
Families including orphans, child led families, the elderly, single mothers taking care of disabled children and other vulnerable households are the ones that have been affected the most. The lack of jobs have even made it extremely harder to take care of their families.

We conducted a fundraiser to raise funds to donate food to these families at the refugee camp and with the help of everyone that donated, were able to donate food items to about 500 vulnerable families around Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kaloboyei Settlement.

This food donation is more than just a meal to these refugees. We showed them that they are not forgotten. We gave them hope and strength. Seeing the smiles on their faces and the endless gratitudes we received was heartfelt.

I would like to extend my gratitudes to everyone who donated and contributed, making this project a success. Everything was possible because of all your support and love. Let’s continue spreading love and kindness.
